The format for our monthly lunches is as follows. We have lunch, of course, but our topic of discussion changes from month to month with the general goal remaining the same. Each month someone will facilitate a discussion regarding a topic that will be defined and discussed in general. The moderator will then lead the discussion toward the topics affect on preaching, pastoral care, evangelism (sharing the gospel, education/discipleship), and worship in the church. In other words, we’ll define and discuss a topic and it’s practical implications for us as pastors and for the church. Here is the order and the facilitator:

February – Eschatology (Chuck Bengtson)

March – The Doctrines of Grace (Chris Taylor)

April – The Emergent Church (Tad Thompson) – If he comes (hahahahahah!)

May – Ecclesiology (Brett Varner)

June – The New Perspective on Paul (Chris Miller/Ted Wenger)

July – Open Theism (Wes Brice)
